Contraceptive Resupply
Moorebank Amcal Pharmacy participates in the NSW trial to provide easy resupply of the oral contraceptive pill. Eligible women can access this service by appointment for continued contraception support.
Oral Contraceptive Prescribing (NSW Trial)
Eligible women in NSW can now access a convenient resupply of their oral contraceptive pill through participating pharmacies, including Moorebank Amcal Pharmacy. Our trained pharmacists are available Monday to Friday, by appointment, to assist with this service.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a resupply of the pill, you must meet the following criteria:
- Aged between 18 and 35 years (inclusive)
- Taking the pill for contraceptive purposes only (to prevent unplanned pregnancy)
- Prescribed by a doctor (GP) or nurse practitioner within the last two years
- No break in taking the pill longer than two weeks since your last appointment with your prescribing doctor or nurse practitioner
Service Details
Our pharmacists are qualified to provide continuation of therapy for eligible patients currently on the pill. However, we cannot initiate new therapy. If you have complex health conditions, we recommend consulting with your doctor or nurse practitioner.
Please note that not all oral contraceptive pills are available through this service.
Cost
$50 Consultation Fee + Medication Cost (Note: Medication supplied by the pharmacist is not subsidised by PBS).
